Responsibilities
• To ensure onboard implementation of the Company’s Safety Management System and thereby achieve overall safety, environmental and quality assurance of your allocated vessels
• To liaise with external parties e.g. Classification Societies and Flag States as and when required
• Taking a lead in incident investigation and report preparation
• Specific security related tasks
• To support the performance leadership program on assigned vessels
• To provide in-house training
• Travel activity in connection with vessel visits
• To run ad-hoc projects in the HSSE team as and when required
Desired Profile
• Minimum 5 years of sailing experience as Navigating Officer including two years as a Senior Officer on board a tanker vessel
• Shore-based experience as Marine, Vetting or Safety Superintendent
• Familiar with all relevant ISM and ISO standards and codes
• Fluent both in spoken and written English
• Detail-oriented, analytical and confident with the ability to work in a multinational team
